I watched a lot of the old shows in my youth. The new ones are pretty much a mystery to me. This was an interesting "experiment."

There was a LOT of old shows in this, it really surprised me. It also surprised me how much TV I've watched. DAMN

These shows represent almost the entire history of TV so of course we've seen a lot!

Most of mine are literally from the last century. Ah well. With age comes wisdom, right?

And you weren't glued to 21 Jump Street either! Wow. But I have to give you credit for having watched SportsNight. Loved that!

After looking at your list I would like to remove my suggestion on Dracula.

Hey BB,

I actually watched the first two episodes last night on line. Some of it I enjoyed very much. It didn't creep me out which was my primary worry.

Things about it I really liked:

Mina - I want her to be my BFF! She is awesome
Renfield - love him. He knows way more than he's saying!
The atmosphere - including the dresses, the horses and carriages, the manners of the time.
The intrigue - "trust no one" seems the motto of the day
Van Helsing - the fact that he's (sort of) friends with Dracula instead of hunting him
Lady Jayne Wetherby - she kicks total ass but not necessarily in a good way
Order of the Dragon= a very interesting mystery!

I'm not crazy about the guy that plays Dracula which is a problem. He isn't as charismatic as I would like. He might grow on me but I'm not sure. I want to root for him because he's trying to destroy the Order of the Dragon, which is totally understandable and needs to be destroyed. But he has to kill innocent people to eat. That creeps me out just a little.

I feel bad for Jonathan Harker - he should have supported Mina's desire to be a doctor but in that time period, a man would have some problems with it. He is right in his doubts about Dracula which will be interesting if he continues to work for him. But now that he's broken Mina's heart, he may not be employed by Dracula any longer. Intriguing!

At any rate, I will probably watch next Friday to see if it grips me. As you see, I have a lot of unanswered questions!

Actually, the only innocent person he has fed from this far (I shan't include the grave robber that Van Helsing killed nor the man who was part of the Order of the Dragon) was killed by Lady Jayne. He had left her alive and moving. So he does not have to kill to eat. There is a thin line of distinction there. It has not been revealed if Dracula's bite infects the woman (or man) with vampirism or not.

I'm glad that you at least find it interesting.
