100 Things: Life Lesson #2 I've Learned From the Dogs
No matter how long it's been since you last saw your friends, greet them with enthusiasm.

Our dogs dance with joy every time we come inside the house. It doesn't matter if we've been gone for 5 minutes, 5 hours, or 5 days, they are thrilled to see us.

Wouldn't it be great if we did a little Dance of Joy whenever we saw our friends? Humans can be so tight with our emotions. We say hello. We may hug. But where is the Joy?

I'm going to try to greet my friends with at least half the enthusiasm our dogs always show us. And it doesn't matter how long it's been since I've seen them. I'm going to show them how happy I am to be back in their company.

What a great idea!

Dogs do get so happy to see you when you come in! When we were in Florida last month every time we'd get back to the house there was Chico waiting for us with a toy in his mouth running all around us.

They are always happy. Unafraid to share their joy!! We should be more like that!

Thank you!

Nice! I used to have a dachshund, and he was like that, too! When I came home, he'd jump and shake and his whole little body would show his happiness! I miss him.

I have a friend who had a dachshund and he was the cutest thing! He would shake too when people came to "his" house.

Everyone needs a dog in their life - you can buy love when it comes packaged as a puppy!!

Thanks!!
