"Unlike"
I have to report to Jury Duty tomorrow. The last time I reported, I ended up serving on a jury. It lasted 2 days. And that was only 2.5 years ago. Isn't it someone else's turn?

That means I have to be at the courthouse at 8:15, then sit and wait all day. I'm not a big fan of the waiting, to tell the truth. I don't mind doing my civil duty but good lord, it's soooooo boring! At least they are good enough to have free wi-fi for the waiting room.

Fun times!

Humm I can imagine, and I bet in your country is more organized than here!
I went through this and have been waiting two days only for the selection.
Tip: ring a good book, water, or take your time to write, because it's really boring experience for pass once, imagine two!
Good luck, hunni.

Hi, Tkeyla

I'm sorry that you have jury duty. I've been called 5 times and sat on one case. It involved stolen vehicles and altered VINs, and it lasted 6 days. We came back a hung jury: 11 to 1 not guilty (I wasn't the hold out). I believe in doing my civic duty too, but I also hate waiting. I was going to suggest taking a book until you mentioned the wi-fi access.

I hope they don't seat you on a case, and that you get to leave early. *crosses fingers*

for you, I hope you don't get it and that you get to leave early.

I'm with you and the 'unlike' regarding jury duty.

Of course I'm sending 'hope you don't get picked' vibes your way!

I do not like Jury Duty. It is such a heavy weight, to judge someone. I had it once and it still bothers me, which I suppose makes me the kind of juror I'd like to have if I were on trial, but it's still a responsibility I would forgo wherever possible. :(

I've had to report a couple of times but only been seated on a jury once. I totes agree: the sitting and waiting is the hard part! Certain kinds of cases would be really tough, too. I hope everything goes your way! ((hugs))

Maybe you'll get lucky and one of the cops will look like our H50 cops!

Unlike too. Not getting picked is easy if you really don't want to do it by saying you don't trust cops, but yeah...

I love Jury Duty and always bring a book. No Wi-Fi in my courthouse here. I've served on 3 juries and love having a say in things.
