Update on my Level Design Project
Update on this post.

I thought/hoped that the project wouldn't open because I was trying to work on it on my laptop. Then I tried it at school - nope. BROKEN - f*#@$ked up - screwed.

My instructor tried to open it. It crashed his computer.

I thought I was going to have to start from scratch. But my instructor asked my classmate Cody if he would give me his beginning because I could use his starting platform and finish it with the code I could recover. (The project is made up of lots of different bits and pieces - if that makes sense.)

Steven in my class - who is a wizard at programming - attempted to fix my project. He couldn't get it to open but by using Cody's starting point, he was able to import parts of Cody's and parts of mine. Using his wizardry, Steven fixed my project!! Steven is my hero!!

My instructor thanked me for the laughter (because I was freaking out and making everyone laugh - it was cool because by that time it really was funny, even to me.) He also told me to just let him know when I had it finished and he'd grade it. I knew he'd be cool like that but I was still freaking out!

So it worked out fine, thanks to Steven!! I'm almost afraid to work on the project on my laptop for fear of damaging it again. But I did upload it from class to dropbox so if I screw it up by opening it on my laptop, I'll be able to recover the files.

Whew. Disaster averted!

They all watch out for me, which is really lovely! That I can laugh at myself helps!

Isn't it awesome to have someone around to help you out when you're in trouble???? Lucky you, that you've got a "Steven" in your life that saves you from danger!

But don't be afraid. If something goes wrong again, consider you have people who are willing to give you a hand in order to finish it :D

So glad you managed to recover it!

And kudos to your instructor, Cody and Steven for all helping you out :)

Well, I'm thrilled it worked out, and that you all laughed through the panic.
