My first sweater, I hope
I've decided to make this sweater:

from this yarn:

I ordered the yarn online from yarn.com because it's a cotton/silk blend, discontinued and on sale. It's Classic Elite Yarns Classic Silk.

I'm excited and nervous. I'll keep you posted on how it goes!

As someone who is also self taught with the knitting, that looks like the perfect starter sweater just by the way the seams join. Boat neck is much easier than a crew or a V, and the straight seems on the sleeves look like heaven.

You may have to share the pattern with me!!! :P

YAY YOU!!

Oh this is good to hear! I thought it sounded relatively simple even though the pattern looks complicated. But it's really just yarn overs and I can do that!

I found the pattern here on Ravelry. I don't usually pay for patterns because of my fear I'll never use them. But this one was so pretty, and she was offering a discount, I had to buy it.

Thank you for the encouragement! It helps more than you know.

Doncha just love a good yarn over? It's so much easier than a bobble! And it makes as big of an impact. YOU CAN DO THIS!
