An informal poll
From the beginning of my life on the interwebs, I've used Yahoo as my homepage. But lately they have been just atrocious. I tried ignoring all the "improvements" they seem to make on a daily basis but I finally got fed up. Now I need a new homepage. I tried MSN but it wasn't working for me. I'm currently using CBSNEWS.com. It's okay but not as interesting, or pretty, as I would like. Since I get all my news from the internet, I need to use a site that at least lists the most important stories of the day. I also like to keep up with gossip about people I don't know and will never meet. I'd love to use the New York Times but it's really expensive.

What do y'all use as your home page?

my homepage is a series of tabs from the previous night that I want to look at and/or queue to reblog on tumblr, as well as a blank tab so I can pick the website I want to go to - usually twitter or tumblr. Twitter is where I get the majority of my news.

An interesting question!

I've a bit of a thing about minimalism on my electronic interfaces. My browser homepage is set to the classic Google search page, and I access news etc via bookmarks that call up new tabs (I use the BBC News page and the Met Office weather website as my main info pages).

Your question interests me even more because at work we have a main company portal homepage for accessing all work/client files on the server plus company news, but I never use it. I access everything via Windows Explorer. They're now talking about upgrading the portal and I may be forced to use it to access files, which is causing me to bristle somewhat and bringing out the non-conformist in me big time!

My homepage it Start Page (A search engine.) It suits my needs since I am often searching one thing or another.

You can use Google, Google News, BBC News, your favorite local news station, Youtube,

I can't suggest a homepage because it depends on what you plan on using it for.

For the record though, I quit using yahoo because; when they had the security breach (year before last), my acct was deactivated.

I use the graphics gallery on my website...probably not too helpful for you.

BBC News is a good one. I like CNN, too,

um, my homepage is google. lol. for news i go to bbc news sometimes. mostly i just read newspapers though and therefore don't hear a lot of news. i found that actually makes me happier to be uninformed, lol.

Good question.

I keep mine set on Yahoo, but when I get online I go through gmail since I check my email before I do anything else.
