I'm one Hawaii Five-0 episode away from quitting it completely. I've said it before, I know. But the show on Friday does not bear even a passing resemblance to the show I fell in love with. The tone is wrong. The feeling is wrong. It's all wrong.

That is all.

I agree. I see all this excitement on Twitter about it and part of me thinks that its so fake because the show that I see and the show that everyone is excited about aren't the same thing.

I don't do Twitter but I am on Tumblr and everyone who is excited about the show seems to still be catching up on the previous seasons. I guess every show eventually disappoints - it's inevitable to a certain extent. Makes me sad.

The ratings from Friday have been reported as very low. I'm not surprised - I'd be surprised if they were robust at all.

I saw domeone say ratings were down for a lot of shows. Whether that's true or not, I dont know or really care. I just snow from the spoilers, sneak peeks and other news that's come out, I'm not going to like the first few episodes of the season, then after it'll still be hit or miss.

Since I'm only four episodes into season one, I can't actually add anything to this. But, on the other hand, I've seen it happen to many really excellent shows over the years. It's frustrating and discouraging. :/

I've got my fingers crossed that this is an anomaly, if only for your sake, and that it gets better before long.

I must admit I am so behind, I'm only up to S5.07 or 08 or something, because we get it so slowly on free-to-air here. I've watched most of it on an online streaming site, but kind of dropped off with too many other shows that I want to see being easier to find and watch , but I'll assume you're in S6 now?

I'll be sad if it's not as good as it was, but in all honesty, there are so many shows that go downhill after 2-3 seasons that they should really give up but don't, so it doesn't surprise me that much.

Having said that, I'll probably get back to it when S5 comes to NZ Netflix (which I didn't have until the last couple of months) as it only has up to S4 at the moment. I tend to be reasonably loyal for my 'guys' even when shows aren't as good as they were; I tend to have fairly low expectations anyway! I'm there for the pretty, shallow as I am!

I agree--the feeling of family and friendship is gone. There doesn't seem to be any McDanno banter other then mean-spirited. All of the joy is gone and it just seems ultra-violent.
