Update to Punctuation Quiz
Tuesdays and Thursdays are Creative Writing Class days. During class today, my instructor told me that I was, indeed, correct. The punctuation quiz about which I perseverated was in error. There was no correct answer! The one she told me was correct:

c. "How could she keep saying, 'I told you so'"?

was in fact incorrect. The question mark must be inside the final quotation mark!

That quiz had been used for the last three years in Freshman English and NO one had noticed it was wrong? That in itself is all kinds of wrong.

And now we know!

Seriously? How could all of the English instructors not notice it was wrong? That scares me just a little!!

I am a member of the grammar police, I'm afraid. "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves" is one of my favorite books. Of all time!!!
